Our History
Wolf Racing began back in 1981 when Doug Wolf bought his first Go Kart. His love for racing and competitive nature was passed down to our two children as they began racing Quarter Midgets in 2012. Over a period of 5 years our family raced local, regional, and national races, taking home 4 championships. In 2017 our team retired the smaller cars and moved onto Winged Micro Sprints. Today our daughter owns her own team and develops young drivers in Micros. Our son races Micros at local tracks and travels to other states to race.
Connor is currently 17 and is a Senior in Highschool. His focus is on school and racing. He works for Subway on the days he is not in the shop working on his race car. He loves to fish and hang out with friends as well.
Connors racing began in the USAC Quarter Midget Division, at the age of 6 in 2012 when his parents bought his first Quarter Midget. He ran the rookie division until he was 7 then moved up to Jr classes. At age 9 he moved onto the senior classes and raced both Light 160, Sr. Animal, and Lt World Formula. He won two championships in 2016, one in Light 160 and one in Sr. Animal. Also placing 2nd overall in the Midwest Thunder Regional Series. He had over sixteen feature wins during his time in Quarter Midgets. In 2017 at age 11 he kicked off his Micro Sprint racing career in the restrictor division. He had much success winning 5 features and over 20 top 5 finishes. Connor moved up to A-class in Micros in 2018 and had 2 feature wins and several top 5 finishes. 2022 is shaping up to be a great year. He started doubling up on classes running the 24F Fultz Racing car in A-class, and his family owned 0 car in Outlaw Non-Wing. He has been running many of the larger paying races only missing one feature event. This year he has gotten multiple 2nd place finishes and a so far 1 feature win in his custom Concept Chassis, during Micro week for the HART series. He began running a TQ Midget in the All-Star Circuit of Champions in June of 2022 and has already gotten the hard charger award and done very well. Connor is the 2022 All-Star Circuit of Champions Rookie of the Year in the TQ Midget. Connor made his debut in a D2 Midget in August. He ran second in the heat and started 6th in a 20-car field. His second time out in a D2 he finished 3rd in the heat and after some electrical issues finished 10th in the feature. To finish out the 2022 season Connor competed the Tulsa Shootout in Tulsa, OK. This event brings racers from all over the country to compete for a Golden Driller. Each class will have over 150 drivers entered competing for 24 starting positions. Connor ran Outlaw NW, Outlaw wing, Stock NW, and Stock Wing classes. He won his heat in Outlaw NW and was able to put two cars into qualifiers first year out. He drove from 13th to 3rd just missing a transfer spot to continue on. This event was televised on Floracing.com around the world. |
